12th Grade
17th August
Today we played Whenuakite in a very close game as it always is between the 2 teams. Whenuakite took the lead from some long range efforts and even had a penalty saved from Leo Skelton our brilliant keeper. In the second half the boys kept their heads up and through team work leveled the game. The game ended in a draw but was brilliant football played by both teams even in the rain. Players of the Day were Luke Collins and Leo Skelton awarded by Whenuakite coach. This was such a fun game to watch as it was action from the whistle.
10th August
This weekend in the Beautiful Sun we played a home game against Hauraki Hawks. We started slowly and went behind early. In the second half we rallied and mounted a fantastic comeback. Goals scored by Riven Harris x 2, Kayleb Cornwall 1. Players of the Day were Leo in Goal, and Zeke Calder. A massive thankyou to Caleb Mahoney for volunteering and helping the 12th grade out been assistant coach.
3rd August
We played Te Rerenga in a cold, windy day. Both teams started slow due to the cold but soon warmed up. Mercury Bay played some brilliant football but Te Rerenga had brilliant counter attacks. Both deserved to win but came away even on the day. Dylan Castle x 1, Caleb Mahoney x 2. Great game by two awesome teams
July 6
Thames hosted Mercury Bay for this week's game and the weather made it tricky. Cold winds didn't help but our team with no subs played an outstanding game. Dylan Castle x1, Caleb Mahoney x2, Kayleb Cornwall x 2. Players of the day were Leo Skelton our goal keeper and Harry Sharman.
June 8
We played 12th grade Thames Hustlers. It was a close game between the 2 sides. We welcomed back some players from injury and even had to use 2 players from the 10th grade to help our team with subs and the 2 boys played so well even out playing the other team at times. Thank you to Cody and Anuhea. The subs made the difference in the second half as they were able to stay fresh. Goals scored Dylan Castle x 3, Alfie x 2, Anuhea Sacault x 1. Players of the day were Toby McLean and Luke Collins.
May 25
Today we played Whenuakite and from the get go it was a edgy game with both teams having chances but Whenuakite took the lead via a small deflection helping it past the keeper. In the second half Mercury Bay rallied back to score 2 quick goals from Toby and Leo. Whenuakite got another goal to make it even on the day. Players of the day were Leo Skelton and James McGrath our keeper who was a defensive rock in goal for Mercury Bay.
May 18
Today we played Te Rerenga on a beautiful morning. Te Rerenga scored an early goal from distance to take the lead. Mercury Bay rallied back and with a small shuffle in midfield pulled 2 goals back. Second half MB scored another couple of goals and defended brilliantly. Toby McLean x2, Kayleb Cornwall, Caleb Mahoney. Players of the day were Harry Sharman and Dylan Castle.

We travelled to Ngatea as what started out very cold but it soon warmed up just like our team. It took a while for the first goal of the season but once it started it was hard to stop. Ngatea are a young team that tested us throughout but our Supreme finishing separated the teams.
