What a week of semi final football.
Congratulations to Young Ones and Let's Get Messi who will contest the 'The Informer Somewhat Important Plate' in the social competition.
Congratulations to Top 10 and Exeter Gently who will contest 'The Informer Kind of a Big Deal Cup' in the competitive compeition.
The Bench Bashers and Dead Rebels, and Bayern Bru and Chubby Alonso will battle it out for 3rd and 4th in their respective competitions.
Also, a big congratulations to Tickle Me Pink who registered what I believe to be their first win since entering the competition 5 years ago. What an achievement to finally get the W beside your teams' name. Can they make it two in a row next week?

This week saw the end of the round robin competition for the social side of the competition. As it stands, The Young Ones, Let's Get Messi, Bench Bashers, and Dead Rebels will play in semi finals in week 7 for a place in the final in week 8.
Tickle Me Pink and Replacements will play off to avoid the wooden spoon (5th and 6th)
NOTE: Week 6 is a friendly round for the social competition while the competitive side finish their round robin games.
There is still plenty to play for in the competitive side with Top 10/Darkside Utd. looking the goods at the top of the table. Both Bayern Bru and Exeter Gently will be vying for the 2nd place on the table with only goal difference separating the two teams at the end of week 5. Week 6's competitive games are sure to be a fantastic watch. These will determine who plays who in the week 7 semi finals.

Another great night of football and the games are competitive and quite closely contested.
The Young Ones are proving themselves are handful for any opposition they face with their youthfulness and slick passing proving too much for the Replacements to handle. The found the net 4 times wwith ease and look like the team to beat this season in the social division.
The competitive division sees the teams quite evenly matched after the first three weeks. The results are showing that the competition is wide open for the taking. The next three weeks, where all teams play each other again, should provide some entertaining football.

Another fantastic night of football in glorious sunshine.
Match of the round was between our youngest team, Bench Bashers and Chewbacca the Net/Replacements. Bench Bashers played with composure, skill, and pace and were outshone their adult opponents. The accuracy of their passing and time on the ball was awesome tto watch and managed to put three goals in the back of the net. The Replacements were valiant for the whole game but couldn't match the speed of young legs. Final score was 3-1 to Bench Bashers to notch the first win of their campaign

A fantastic first week of football with some exceptionally close games.
Match of the round was contested in the competitive league with Bayern Bru and Exeter Gently battling out a 2 all draw. Both teams were physical in their game play and demonstrated some slick passing. One goal from each team came from a free kick which show cased the skill on display.
